Daniel (Dan) Littlefield is a Performance Improvement Specialist working with the Center for Transformation and Innovation at USF. In this role, Dan is developing training materials and programs to improve customer satisfaction, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. He is helping clients fully leverage their people, process, and technology resources. This is accomplished through initiatives of Rapid Cycle Improvement and Workflow Design which are based on the established toolsets of Six Sigma, Lean, Change Management, Action Sessions, and Simulation.
Dan has extensive training and experience in quality assessment and improvement in real-world industry settings with DuPont. At DuPont, he was at the forefront of Six Sigma and Lean implementation. Dan led projects that resulted in reduced cycle times, reduced costs, higher sales, improved safety, and improved sales, service, and supply chain processes. In addition, Dan was responsible for the training of more than 200 Six Sigma practitioners.
Before joining the Six Sigma organization at DuPont, Dan had a variety of technical and management assignments. He was awarded DuPont’s Engineering Excellence Award in 2000 and 2005, and was the recipient of Safety and Environmental awards in 1994, 1995, and 1996.
Dan graduated in 1988 from The Ohio State University with a MS in Chemical Engineering. He is also currently working as a reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
