Vera is the office manager, administrator and events planner at the Center for Transformation and Innovation and The Leadership Institute at USF Health. She supervises support staff and is in charge of office correspondence and invoice processing. Vera is experienced in facilitating discussion groups and preparing materials for the strategic sessions held by CTI. She is also in charge of planning and organizing the Leadership Institute events and training sessions.
In July 2009, Vera finished working on a hiring project for the Human Resource Department at USF. The technical reports she created identified the competencies required for the various positions, in addition to proper interview questions and training procedures, at USF. The project, which proved to be a success, will soon be launched throughout the University to improve hiring procedures and efficiency.
In 2008, Vera held an internship as a Benefits Administrator with Advantec, a large PEO company, where she worked on the Open Enrollment process. Vera has developed skills in motivating and training staff when she was working as a Shift Manager in 2007 and 2008 at Shane’s Rib Shack restaurant. She also has gained experience in recruiting manpower while working as an Account Manager for an overseas company in 2007. Between 2004 and 2007, Vera was a Legal Assistant in an Immigration Law office where she gained expertise in preparing and processing legal documents. Because of her interest in working with people, improving office processes and increasing customer satisfaction, she has been dedicated to the field of Industrial-Organizational psychology.
Vera holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. She is fluent in Russian and English. Currently, she is waiting on an acceptance to a Doctorate program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
