Program Overview

During this session, we will put into practice all of Leadership learning - Leading with Strategy, Leading People, and Leading for Results. The Executive Challenge Course is designed to emphasize the importance of accepting our role as leaders and followers to accomplish challenging tasks in stressful situations. A series of problem solving tasks requiring various levels of physical prowess will be undertaken during this fun-filled experience. Each will require different styles of leadership and will present a series of unique challenges.

The scheduled activities will provide a greater understanding of:

  • Our courage to lead oneself…then, lead others.
  • Stepping up: knowing when and how to lead or follow.
  • Building trust and engaging others.
  • Designing and executing a strategy to assure desired results.
  • Communicating effectively and influencing others in a stressful and competitive environment.
  • Teamwork.

You Will Learn

  • Three distinct behavioral and physiological responses that can occur during times of duress.
  • The psychological factors that characterize those who maintain the optimal performance state, no matter what they experience.
  • The use of classical conditioning as a means of experiencing immediate recovery from stress.
  • Assessing current situations, engaging teams in decision making and strategy, and leading for results.
  • Applying the most effective communication skills to get the job done under stressful situations.
  • Building trust, stepping-up, and terrain and strategy mapping.
  • Leading people, leading with courage, and becoming a conflict competent leader.
